I'm an instructional designer and eLearning developer who enjoys turning complex information and challenging learning problems into effective solutions. I work closely with clients and subject-matter experts to understand what they're trying to accomplish, determine what learners actually need, and build a solution that works for everyone involved.
My background is a little unusual. I'm a world-traveled scientific scuba diving instructor with degrees in Physics and Leadership & Management. That combination has shaped how I approach instructional design: break complex problems down to their core, understand the business need behind them, and build learning solutions that address the real challenge.
With my business background, I opened an LLC to operate independently as an instructional designer. While I have diverse expertise, I learn quickly, ask the right questions, and work well with others; I enjoy getting to the heart of a problem, understanding different perspectives, and partnering with clients and subject-matter experts to find an effective solution. This has led me to create eLearning for scuba, sales, healthcare, compliance, cybersecurity, investing, medicine, and real estate.
After a year as a scuba instructor around the world, I ended up at one of the most high-profile scientific diving programs. I not only taught diving and emergency care to students, staff, and faculty, but I also created eLearning to allow for significant program growth and increased performance.
The curriculum included leadership, management, accounting, finance, marketing, statistics, negotiation, culture, and public speaking. This program helped me see the world through a business lens.
Physics taught me how to break down complex challenges, address them at the core, and piece them back together to create comprehensive learning solutions.
Instructional design is my profession, and I treat it that way. I built my custom workstation myself from the ground up to support my daily work, from instructional design and eLearning development to video production and audio editing.
I'm proud of the setup I've built because it reflects how I approach my work: invest in the right tools, learn how to use them well, and take pride in the finished product.

I'm committed to questioning the status quo, not just in the outcomes I create but in the processes I use to get there. I'm always looking for ways to improve, rethink, and experiment.
Even my workstation reflects that mindset. In 2024, I began using a fully customizable split mechanical keyboard from ZSA to explore how tailored tools could improve comfort and efficiency. ZSA later featured my setup on their website.

I am a world-traveled scuba diving viola player. Although I am dedicated to my work, I am even more devoted to my family and church community at home in Miami, Florida. My incredible wife and I met at church, got engaged there, and then, in 2017, were married there. We were blessed with a son in 2019 and a daughter in 2023. Both have brought us more joy than we ever imagined was possible.
